Doce Pares Christmas Do

On Saturday the 10th December 2011 some of the Guba Doce Pares clan
met for a Christmas get together at Guro Otto Madarasz' house.

Grandmaster Danny Guba conducted a free two hour workshop on the empty
hands of Doce Pares conducted in Otto's private gym, a fully matted
and heated studio purpose built at the end of his garden.

Afterwards Otto's wife had prepared a seven course traditional
Filipino banquet in their house. After the training session everyone
was suitably starving and it did not take long for the food to vanish.
At this point Gm Danny handed out his twelve Awards of Recognition for
2011 (listed below). There was then a quiz game which produced some
rather dubious results and Otto entertained all.

It was then outside onto the garden decking heated by two large patio
heaters for the cutting and munching of the Filipino cake. The Karaoke
subsequently kicked off but the less said about that the better. The
prize for the worst singer was hotly contested. Otto had arranged a
large number of lanterns which were lit by all and released into the
night sky.

Otto and his wife made a huge effort to ensure all had a great time
which was greatly appreciated. Without a doubt they produced the best
Christmas get together yet. Thank you both so much.
